Service & Shipping Policy

1. Coverage

FreightCMD provides dispatch and marketplace technology. Road freight is supplied by the logistics provider or carrier identified in the quote and trip record. Coverage, availability and charges are confirmed by that provider at quote time.

2. Vehicles

Available vehicle types include vans, light trucks, medium and heavy lorries and refrigerated units (where indicated). The dispatched vehicle is selected based on cargo weight, volume and availability.

3. Scheduling & ETA

ETAs are estimates based on distance and typical conditions. Traffic, weather, regulatory checks and force majeure events may affect actual arrival times.

4. Cargo rules

  • Cargo must be legally transportable and properly packed.
  • Dangerous goods require prior disclosure and may require special handling at additional cost.
  • The client is responsible for accurate weight, dimensions and contents.

5. Loading & unloading

Unless agreed in writing, loading and unloading are the responsibility of the client. Excessive wait time at pickup or drop may incur detention charges.

6. Liability for goods

Insurance is not included merely because a trip appears in FreightCMD. The responsible provider must identify any cargo cover, insurer, limit, excess and exclusions in writing. The client should arrange suitable additional cover for high-value cargo.

7. Proof of delivery

Status updates and digital proof of delivery (signature or photo) are captured in-app where available and shared with the client on request.

8. Claims and incidents

Loss, damage, delay, accident or temperature-control issues must be reported promptly to the responsible provider and through the trip record. Preserve packaging, photographs, invoices and other evidence. Any claim deadline or liability limit must come from applicable law and the accepted carrier terms, not an unstated platform default.
